crafty wedding decoration ideas, brides can include their hobby into
their ceremony decor and save money while doing so.
A crafty wedding is an extremely creative event. Guests will love the details of
craft wedding decorations and the bride will have a blast creating the
decor. These craft wedding decoration ideas are fun to construct and
look beautiful in weddings.
Coffee Filter Butterflies
For a butterfly theme wedding, this craft is one you should not go
without. This craft is easy enough for a child to participate in,
however the outcome is simply beautiful. You will need white coffee
filters, markers, gold or silver wire, and a spray bottle full of water.
Lay your coffee filters out on a flat surface and color on them with
your markers. It is best to do subtle lines of color. Colors that
coordinate with your wedding colors work best. Next, take your spray
bottle and begin spraying the coffee filter. The colors will run
which is what is expected. The more water you use, the more washed
out the colors will become. After you are satisfied with your
colors, allow the filter to dry completely.
Take ten inches of your wire and fold it in half. After the filter
dries, pinch together the center top and center bottom with your
thumb and pointer finger to create “wings”. Place the filter in
between the folded wire. Twist the wire around the middle of the
filter to create a “body”. Leave enough wire at the top for your
antennae. Experiment with coloring effects to get your desired look.
This is a beautiful craft that looks wonderful coordinating with
tulle backdrops. It also looks lovely in pew bows, candelabras, and
flower arrangements.
Marble Centerpiece
For a crafty bride who is looking for a cool table centerpiece, the
marble centerpiece is the solution. You will need hard plastic or
glass vases, plates, or large candleholders for this craft,
depending on what you want as your centerpiece. You will also need a
hot glue gun or super glue. Simply glue different colored marbles
onto the vase or candleholder you chose. Use as many or as few as you like.
For a vase, you can even add flowers when you are finished. For a
candleholder or a plate, add a candle in the center. Make sure you
leave space in the center of the plate for a candle.
Marble artwork also works well on mirrors. To create wall decor for
your ceremony, use the same gluing technique to attach marbles to
mirrors without frames. You can create a marble frame around the
outer edge of the mirror or you can simply attach the marbles all
over the mirror for an artsy look.
These craft wedding decoration ideas are wonderful ways to
incorporate your love of crafts into your wedding decor. They are
creative and beautiful to use for both the ceremony and reception.
