Gazebo Weddings: How To Deal With Space Limitations
Gazebo weddings are extremely popular for todays bride who wants an outside wedding ceremony. However, since it is a somewhat unusual place for a wedding, you need to get creative with your gazebo wedding ideas in order to create a functional wedding ceremony. There are many things to consider when thinking of your gazebo wedding ideas. Most importantly, you must consider the size and shape of the gazebo.
The first thing to go over when planning a gazebo
wedding is the guest list. After you evaluate the space,
seriously consider how many guests will actually fit in
the space. You certainly do not want to invite a large
number of guests to a gazebo wedding, for they will not
all be able to see what is going on, and will most
likely not fit in the gazebo area. Therefore, you may
want to consider having a semi-private family and
friends wedding ceremony. If you want, you can always
choose to have a larger reception after the small
ceremony.
When having a gazebo wedding, obviously your guests will
not be able to fit into the gazebo during the ceremony.
Therefore, you need to provide them with seating. For
lovely outdoor seating, consider using white wooden
chairs. They can be placed in one of three ways. You can
choose to circle the gazebo with chairs, leaving a space
to create an aisle. This allows the guests to get closer
to the ceremony, but some of them may be staring at your
backs.
Another way to arrange the seating is by making two
traditional areas of seating with an aisle in the
middle. This is a very practical seating solution.
Lastly, you can choose to create the traditional areas
as well as an additional area on each side of the
gazebo, but not in the rear. This is best when you have
more guests than expected.
Since you are in a small area, consider using only one
or two attendants. They will most likely need to stand
on the gazebo stairs or on the ground near the gazebo,
so the more you have, the more complicated the standing
arrangement will be. It is best to be a minimalist when
it comes to gazebo weddings. If you already have a large
number of attendants, you may want to choose another
type of wedding.
Consider using wireless microphones for your gazebo
wedding. This will allow everyone to hear your vows
without strain. Outdoor weddings are always difficult to
hear, for the sound does not have anything to bounce off
of for an echo like it does inside. Guests will
appreciate this, but be sure to test the microphones
before hand to avoid any technical disruptions.
Use these tips when planning your gazebo wedding to make
the most of your space limitations. You can have a
lovely gazebo wedding in any space, no matter how small.
The key is to avoid overcrowding the area. Limit your
guest lists, attendants, and organize seating and your
day will be a huge success.
