Amazing Autumn Wedding Decorations

In most of the country, autumn is a beautiful season marked with the changing colors of the leaves. The weather is usually perfect with temperatures being not too warm, and not too cool. It is a time of breath taking sunsets and crisp air.

An autumn wedding can capture all of the beauty of the season using autumn decorations. Autumn decorations are simple and natural, allowing brides the option of bringing the outdoors inside. Brides getting married in this season should embrace the beauty of the nature around them and use it as decorative inspiration.

When planning autumn decoration, it is important to concentrate on color choice. Colors are a huge part of the season and should be used appropriately. Rich colors of burgundy, gold, hunter green, and brown should be used for decor. If brides are afraid of using dark colors in their wedding, then they can use these colors in small amounts as accents. However, using colors such as pink or lavender is a mistake for an autumn wedding.

When thinking of colors, look at pictures taken during the autumn season and get inspiration from them. This is an easy way to picture what nature will look like at the time of the wedding.

Autumn is a time for the harvest of many foods. It is the perfect time to add foods such as pumpkins to your autumn decor. Pumpkins of all sizes can be used to add an autumn flavor to a wedding ceremony and reception. They are great for table centerpieces and can be combined with tulle for a Cinderella look. They also can be arranged on alters or window sills for the ceremony. They bring a sense of home to the festivities and guests will love the comfort they feel from simply seeing the decor.

Apples are another food that works great in autumn decoration. They too can be used on tables or in various locations during the ceremony. Apples are a fruit that also looks great when sliced and dried. Create an apple potpourri with dried apple slices and cinnamon oil. Place the mixture into a clear vase and you have an instant table centerpiece.

Autumn decoration would not be complete without flowers of the season. The most beautiful autumn flower is the mum. Many brides would never think of using a flower like a mum for their wedding, but the result is absolutely beautiful.

For easy arrangements, simply purchase huge pots of mum and wrap the pots with tulle and ribbon. Set them around the ceremony and reception areas and guests will be surprised at their simple beauty. The good thing about mums is that most of them come in autumn colors, so they automatically match the wedding decor.

Autumn decoration is not only about the visual, but also about smell. People are more likely to remember smell than anything else they ever see. Brides who want their guests to experience the entire autumn feel should consider using scent as decor as well. Potpourri and scented candles work great for weddings because they are also beautiful too look at. Spiced scents are most appropriate for autumn decoration.

Autumn decoration should be easy and fun. The focus and inspiration should come from nature itself, making the look seamless. Brides should use the colors and smells of the season to tie nature into their wedding in a classy and meaningful manner.
