Lovely Church Wedding Decorations On Any Budget
No matter where you are having your ceremony you want to
dress it up a bit, and some places need it more than
others. Luckily, church wedding decorations can be
fairly minimal because you can play off the ornate
characteristics of the church and just add a little bit
if your budget won't allow for much. Church wedding
decorations can really dictate how formal or casual the
affair is, so think about what you want the atmosphere
to be like when choosing each decoration.
Many people choose to decorate from the altar all the
way to the outside of the church, but if your budget
doesn't allow for this type of thing there is no need to
fret. The old adage that less is more really does apply
to church wedding decorations, thank goodness.
Starting at the altar , you can get really fancy or not
with this particular area. You can have an archway
brought in for the bride and groom to stand under, adorn
the sides of the altar with pillars and candles, or have
large arrangements of flowers brought in. These are all
beautiful ideas, but they may not fit into your budget.
If the altar is already really fancy, you don't need to bother
with anything up there if you don't want to. If you want
a little something consider a small artificial flower
arrangement, or let a unity candle be enough decoration.
The focus should be the bride and groom, not the church wedding decorations.
The aisle is a fun place to decorate and it doesn't have
to be all that expensive. Again, if your budget allows
you can go for the pillars and flowers and create
something magical but you don't need to. A pew bow on
every other row and an aisle runner create a clean,
classy look that is very simple and affordable. The
aisle runner will probably cost thirty dollars or less,
and you can usually pick up pre-made pew bows at your
craft or hobby store for a couple bucks each.
Coming into the church, couples usually place a guest
book. A simple church wedding decoration for this area
is just a single rose with a pretty ribbon tied half way
down the length of the stem. It's simple, but beautiful
and you'll have more people notice that than you will a
huge bouquet of flowers. Sometimes something simple and
original gets more attention than anything else.
Another common place for church wedding decorations is
on the outside of the entrance doors to the church. Many
couples choose to place bows or flowers on the doors,
which is cute, but again not necessary. You can buy a
couple extra pew bows and attach them to the doors to
achieve the look for less.
As you can see, couples do not need to break the bank on
church wedding decorations. Sure, you can do some really
elaborate and beautiful stuff, but you also achieve an
elegantly simple look and feel for much less. Many
couples get stuck in a trap of thinking they have to
decorate in this big ways and they break the bank and go
into debt over it, which is silly! A simple and tasteful
decorating style does not have to look cheap; instead it
will be something that everyone talks about for years to come.
