Cheap Reception Decoration With Style
For most people, the reception is the most expensive
part of their wedding. That being said, it's
understandable that people are looking for good
ideas for attractive yet cheap reception decoration! When
costs for the venue, the food, and the entertainment
start coming in it's understandable that we all look for
that perfect cheap reception decoration so that the room
looks beautiful for our special day.
Cheap reception decoration can be free or almost free
depending on what you have on hand, and the look you are
trying to create. Almost anything can be made into a
great looking decoration if you use it wisely. Take a
walk through your craft and hobby store and you'll see
little displays all over the store that cost very little
to make.
Surprisingly, you can do a lot of this with
little or no direction and provide yourself with cheap reception decoration.
Thinking outside the box is a good thing, too! If you allow yourself to think outside
of tradition you may come up with some uniquely
beautiful ideas all on your own.
An easy and cheap reception decoration idea is a cardholder
for the center of your gift table. Cardholders can come
made of cardboard in the shape of churches, bell towers,
castles, and a variety of different things. Basically,
it's a decorative box for people to drop cards in for
safekeeping.
You can buy a plain cardboard cardholder
for less than ten dollars. No, its not beautiful on
its own, but if you buy a three dollar roll of wedding
wrapping paper you can carefully wrap each piece and
come away with a beautiful yet cheap wedding reception decoration.
If you are looking for unique ways to use candles but
think you can't possibly afford to use them because of
their cost, you're wrong! Think votives. You can buy a
large box of votives in most colors at most candle shops
or even at your craft supply store for cheap.
And, for less than a dollar, you can usually buy some sort of cute votive
holder. There you go! Simply decorate with lighted
votive candles, which should burn through your entire
reception. In a darkened room, you can place two or
three candles on each table and you'll be hard pressed
to find a more beautiful but cheap wedding reception decoration.
Decorating outside the box is a good idea, remember? For
just a couple dollars per table, how about you have
something totally unique, but fun? For about a dollar
each at your craft supply store you should be able to
find small decorative bowls. In the bowls you can place
a fish for the amusement of your guests! Yes, it's a bit
different, but it's sure to be a hit. If you use a fish
like a Beta you might have the best luck and may be able
to get them in colors that coordinate with your wedding colors.
Another simple, cheap reception decoration idea is
laying a single rose in the middle of the table with
pretty, color coordinating ribbon tied about half way
down the stem. Its a simple, cheap reception decoration
but sometimes less is more.
Just one of these ideas is enough, but if you have room
in your budget you can combine them to have spectacular
decorations. Cheap reception decoration can be a
challenge, but once you get the hang of it you'll be
coming up with more beautiful yet cheap wedding decoration ideas than
you can even use. Your imagination really is the only limit.
