Bridesmaid Bouquets: Develop Your Own Style

There's no doubt that you're spending tons of money to make your wedding absolutely perfect. You want every detail to be just right; not just for you, but for the entire wedding party. One of the nicest accents you can add to your wedding party, the bridesmaid bouquets, can be classy, unique and inexpensive.

You can find great ideas for designing and arranging bridesmaids bouquets just about anywhere, from your local craft store to your own backyard. Here are some suggestions that may help.

First of all, don't let the word bouquet scare you. You can think of any flower arrangement you'd like for your bridesmaid bouquets, and it's your wedding, so why not be creative? Having the bridesmaids carry a single flower, which can be accented with a satin ribbon or even a string of synthetic pearls, makes a very elegant statement.

If your bridesmaid bouquets are only made of one or two flowers, or if you're using a main flower with smaller accents, the bridesmaids can carry the main flower in the bouquet (i.e. if your bouquet is mainly lilies with babys breath accents, your bridesmaids can carry a single lily tied with a satin ribbon).

And your bridesmaids don't necessarily have to carry bridesmaid bouquets in their hands. Having each bridesmaid wear a flower that coordinates with the wedding decor in her hair will look great in your wedding photos.

Wrist corsages can also add a special touch, and will work well for bridesmaids who don't want to carry flowers down the aisle. This will also keep your bridesmaids' hands free in case you have included certain unique touches to your ceremony, such as the lighting of candles.

While you may definitely want your bridesmaids to have flower bridesmaid bouquets, why not have your bridesmaids decorate the aisle with flower petals or ribbons? After all, that job shouldn't just be reserved to flower girls if you dont want it to be.

Give each bridesmaid a satin pouch, basket or platter filled with your favorite flowers, so that they can drop petals down the aisle as they walk. Not only will this add a unique touch to the ceremony, but if you're having the wedding videotaped, this will look great captured on film.

And, don't hesitate to ask your bridesmaids for help; they'll be able to give you suggestions for bridesmaid bouquets and other flower arrangements for the wedding you may not have thought of before.
