Today's Wedding Floral Bouquet: Many Styles To Choose From

Years ago, every bride wore the white dress and carried wedding floral bouquets of white flowers; today, that is no longer the case. The modern bride now carries a vibrant bouquet as does her attendants. Valorous and dominant arrangements have taken over and brought about a new and distinctive design. Some wedding floral bouquets will have only one flower of a different color, while using the majority of the same colored flowers as a backdrop, and allowing the assortment to flow more smoothly with the dresses.

When it comes to deciding on the right wedding floral bouquet, the possibilities are quite endless. There is the hand-tied French twist bouquets, made of striking ribbons and pearls, the cascading bouquets, the round, nosegay, freeform, crescent and many others.

The round floral wedding bouquet is plain, yet chic and goes well with either formal or informal weddings. It is not exactly round, but the flowers are knitted so tightly together, that it give the appearance of a cluster. The nosegay bouquet is also round, but not as compact and massed together as the traditional round bouquet. It also tends to have more flowerage.

The freeform floral wedding bouquet is more contemporary with no set style. Its flowers and greenery seem to be coming from every angle all at once. This type bouquet is best made with tropical flowers.

The crescent floral wedding bouquet consists of curving flowers that advances from the middle of the bouquet, which can give it either a traditional or more contemporary look. There is the asymmetrical and the symmetrical crescent bouquets. The symmetrical crescent has more of an overall proportional look, while the asymmetrical has its flowers and greenery at different lengths.

No matter what type flower or arrangement that you select for the wedding floral bouquets, it should be made well in advance of the pending date. You should also decide whether or not to use delicate fresh flowers or silk flowers, depending on whether or not your wedding is outside or inside, as the weather can have a horrible effect on fresh flowers.
